Meara's Playlist

Early Life

Meara was born into a poor family on her home planet and was the oldest of her sisters; they struggled to make ends meet and spent a lot of time couch surfing. But, constant traveling with 3 young daughters is difficult and they were getting desperate. One day, they think they found their out- a newly established colony on the planet Zirontah, ruled by queen Emery

So, they packed up and moved to Zirontah when Meara was in her early teens. It took them a bit to get on their feet, but they managed to establish a comfortable life for themselves after years of struggling. Meara and her sisters were in school and their parents had stable income, life was good, and her parents said they owed it all to Emery.

Over time, Meara's family's appreciation for Emery turned into outright obsession. Their occasional attendance to her celebrations turned to watching her speeches every night to adorning their entire house with memoribilia dedicated to her. This obsession freaked Meara out, but she was too focused on school to care.

School Days

As an early, growing colony, Zirontah's school sytem was more trade-based as opposed to a regular school set-up. While they did have some core classes, most students spent their time learning different trades, and eventually choosing a path to go on. For Meara, that path was seamstress. She was a natural. Most everyone in school wore clothes designed by her, and her peers asked her for help first, and the teachers second. To think she would do anything else with her life would be ridiculous; she loved it!

Once the students reached a certain age, if they wanted to continue their studies, their parents had to sign off on their apprentinceship. Whether it be sewing, carpentry, architecture, electricity, if they wanted to continue on, they needed that signature. They could either get an apprentinceship, start working, or join the newly established army, but it was obvious what Meara would do, right?

Well, a few days before the sign-off day, Meara and her parents go into a nasty arguement over their Emery obsession. When Meara called it weird, they absolutely snapped, calling her ungrateful for everything Emery has given them and worked to do. They fought, and went days without talking to each other.

When it came to the sign-off day, Meara was expecting to see a filled-out contract for her seamstress apprentinceship when she got home, but what she saw instead was a 4-year contract for the army. Her parents had enlisted her to teach her a lesson. She was heartbroken. She was betrayed. She screamed and cried for them to reverse it, but they refused. A few days later, she was shipped off to the barracks
